Two large drawers and three cupboards. 
The initial concepts for the Harbour furniture collection were inspired by
the simple forms of the small boats I see travelling along the river Thames
close to my home in South West London. The combination of well crafted
timber, honest construction methods and those wonderful sweeping curves
have always attracted me – so that when Sherry asked me to design a
range with a relaxed, modern feel I had only to recall the influences taken
in on those riverside walks.
Quality of manufacture is very important to me, and when it became
clear that this was a primary concern for Sherry I knew we could work
together to produce a furniture collection of lasting value. True to the craft
of boat building the design aesthetic is both strong and simple, this allows
the inherent beauty of American white oak to take centre stage. Planked
tops, through legs secured with square dowels and of course, the purity of
the curved edge are the primary features of this range.
Harbour is a collection of furniture for those who like me,
want to create a contemporary, unpretentious and above
all relaxed home.
