Delivery and access
a) Delivery: Standard delivery: If your purchase is under £600 an additional charge of £39 will be added. If your purchase is over £600 our standard delivery is free to your home and normally within 10 working days of the goods being deemed in stock.
a1) Delivery: Premium delivery: Delivery to the room of your choice by our premium delivery team will include specially trained staff in fully equipped furniture vans. Our team will set the furniture in place in your home and take away the packaging.
There is an additional charge of £79 for this service. Premium deliveries may take an additional week longer than our standard free delivery.
You will become the owner of the furniture or goods (and be liable for the loss or destruction of the goods) at the time of delivery, provided that we have received payment in full for the furniture or goods.
Orders must be arranged for delivery within 14 days of us contacting you. A re-delivery charge will be imposed if no one is home to accept delivery and a 10% storage charge will be applied per month or part thereof unless otherwise agreed in writing with the store manager at the time of purchase.
At the time of delivery you will be required to validate, check and sign-off on the delivery of the Products, after which time the Products become your sole responsibility. Any returns must be returned on our delivery van. Any returns made thereafter will be charged according to individual logistics.
b) Delivery dates & lead times: All of Choice Furniture Direct sales are special orders: – furniture ordered specially for you from the factory.
Due to the large amount of ranges of furniture and variations of colour and finish within each product, manufactures generally make most pieces to order, this leads to an average lead time of 6-8 Weeks.
We also carry stock of a large range of our best selling items, these pieces are on a 10 working day delivery service.
All dates quoted at the time of sale are made in good faith and whilst we always make every effort to honour them, it must be recognised that they are estimates only, and consequently we cannot accept any liability or damage claims resulting from overdue deliveries.
Choice Furniture Direct cannot be held responsible for manufacturer delays. Choice Furniture Direct will not be responsible for any other losses, costs, damages or charges that you may suffer if we delay in supplying or do not supply those Products.
c) Access: Please note the size and dimensions of the furniture you have ordered and ensure that the item or items will fit in the designated room and through any passages, stairwells, landings and doorways on the way to the destination room. Choice Furniture Direct does not accept responsibility for any furniture that will not fit into its intended location.
d)Area: All orders for delivery to addresses within mainland GB that exceed a total value of £600 are delivered free of charge, except for the following postcodes. AB,DD,PH, FK,PA,IV,KW,HS,TR,KW. These postcodes will incur an additional charge which you will be advised off prior to your order being processed. Logistically challenging postcodes may also incur an additional charge. We reserve the right to charge accordingly.

For delivery to Northern Ireland, Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Scottish Islands and Channel Islands we will deliver free to a nominated mainland GB address if the order value exceeds £600 and is not in a post code where additional charges apply e.g. a port. The seller shall deliver the goods suitably packaged and in good condition to the forwarding carriers. Choice furniture direct can not be held responsible for damage that occurs thereafter .Onward shipping from that point is the responsibility of the customer unless prior arrangement is made and confirmed in writing with Choice furniture direct such confirmation outlining any additional costs that this service may incurred that will be met by the Buyer.
In exceptional circumstances, a product may arrive suffering minor wear and tear from the shipping process, or even a minor defect that occurred at the factory.
Customers must report any damage i.e. scratches, chips, tears, soiling etc. immediately upon delivery. It is important that each item is carefully and thoroughly inspected by you or your authorised agent immediately upon delivery. Please note that you must report any damage upon delivery by noting it on the Delivery Note.
Always move furniture by lifting. Dragging or pushing can damage fixings and affect stability.
It is recommended that all furniture is carried by two people to avoid damage to the furniture or personal injury.
A Digital photographic record is normally required for exact verification of the fault.
Choice Furniture Direct will not be responsible for any damage not reported.
All natural and synthetic colours and finishes can only be supplied on the understanding that there is always a possibility of variation.
Leather and wood products will by their nature be subject to grain variations. whilst every reasonable effort will be made to ensure colour matches, fabrics and leather may vary due to dye lot variations. All removable covers of a matching suite must be cleaned at the same time in order to avoid colour variations. Choice Furniture Direct will not be responsible for colour variations in the event that matching items are not purchased together.
Right for you to cancel your contract on stocked items.
You may cancel your contract with us for the goods you order at any time up to the end of the fourteenth working day from the day after the date you receive the ordered goods. You do not need to give us any reason for canceling your contract nor will you have to pay any penalty.
If you cancel your contract prior to delivery after the goods have been processed by us for delivery or refuse the goods upon delivery we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
To cancel your contract you must notify us in writing or email to email@example.com if you have not received your goods then please call us on 01228 515314.
If you have received the goods before you cancel your contract then you must send the goods back to our contact address at your own cost and risk. If you cancel your contract but we have already processed the goods for delivery you must not unpack the goods when they are received by you and you must send the goods back to us at our contact address at your own cost and risk as soon as possible. If you cancel the contract but do not return the goods to us in the condition they were in when delivered to you or do not pay the costs of delivery, we shall be entitled to deduct the direct costs of recovering the goods from the amount to be re-credited to you.
Once you have notified us that you are canceling your contract, any sum debited to us from your credit card will be re-credited to your account as soon as possible and in any event within 30 days of your order.
Customers have the right to cancel from the date of contract up to 14 working days starting the day after delivery. This does not include weekends or Bank Holidays.
Customers can cancel by email to firstname.lastname@example.org or letter. In the event of cancellation, customers are entitled to a full refund including delivery costs.
A return delivery cost will apply.
This does not apply to specially made (bespoke & commissioned) items.
You can return the item to us and we will organise a refund (excluding delivery cost & re-stocking fee).

Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, a customer has an early right to reject goods that are unsatisfactory quality, unfit for purpose or not as described, and get a full refund. This right is limited to 30 days from the date the customer took ownership of the goods. If an item is faulty and needs to be returned, the customer does not need to pay postage costs for the return of the faulty item. If a customer is asked to return an item that arrived damaged, not as described or faulty, the retailer should refund the total cost of the return.
Special Customised Orders
The above 14 day return (cooling off period) does not apply to Special Customised (bespoke & commissioned) Orders.

The product is at a standard price, not on sale, discounted or on an ebay listing.
The product is new and not ex-display or returned stock items.
You must provide proof of product price. (i.e. website address, brochure etc.)
This promise applies to new product sold through normal retail channels only.
The two items must be exactly the same.
Time-frame within 7 days from date of delivery.
The price must include VAT and other charges e.g. delivery.
The item must be new and not ex display, end of line or returned stock.
The item must be at standard price and not in a sale or on special offer.
You must provide information on the vendor to enable us to verify the price.
The alternative item must currently be available.
Price Promise only applies to goods available in the UK.
Choice Furniture Direct must retain a suitable profit.
Ready to Assemble Items
Choice Furniture Direct will not accept the return of any item which has undergone any assembly by the purchaser.
All items returned to Choice Furniture Direct must be in there original packaging and returned in same conditions as they were delivered.
Goods that are not held in stock by Choice furniture Direct and Choice Furniture and special customised orders that are ordered and/or manufactured specifically for the buyer cannot be cancelled once the order has been accepted by Choice furniture direct or Choice furniture.
You are reminded that all orders placed with and accepted by us, form part of a legally binding contract. Whilst we will always endeavour to act sympathetically to your requests the following guidelines must be adhered to.
(1) Goods, from stock or specially ordered for you cannot be cancelled or altered once you have entered into the contract.
(2) Where circumstances enable us to accept a cancellation we must levy a charge equivalent to 25% of the order value.
We reserve the right not to accept any order request if:
We do not deliver to your postcode;
One or more of the goods ordered was incorrectly described or priced on the Choice furniture direct website;
We have insufficient stock to deliver the furniture or goods you have ordered;
The payment transaction is not authorized; or you have not complied with our terms and conditions.
If we do cancel your contract you will be notified by e-mail or Post and we will refund to you any sum paid by you to us in respect of the contract as soon as possible, and in any event within 30 days of the cancellation of your order.
We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
Limitations of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, under no circumstances, including, but not limited to, negligence, shall we be liable to you for any direct, indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages that result from the use of or the inability to use the Website, any changes to the Website, any material or data sent or received or not sent or received or for any of the above-mentioned damages that result from the use or inability to use the Products. In no circumstances shall our liability and that of our suppliers to you and/or any third parties for any of the above exceed £200.00.

The information contained in the Website is for information purposes only and, although we have made every effort to ensure the correctness of the information contained herein, the information available through the Website is provided “as is” and “as available” and without warranties or conditions of any kind either express or implied.
