This stylish oak dining table features a beautiful curved edge detail to the long sides of the table top which combines with the curves and chamfers of the legs to give an organic feel to the piece.
This dining table seats eight when closed and ten when extended. The table features a reciprocating mechanism – pull on one end to extend and the other end opens at the same time. The extension leaf is stored within the table as a butterfly mechanism – it is simply flipped open into place.
It is finished in a clear matt lacquer that protects the timber at the same time as showing off the natural beauty of the oak.
Romana by Ercol is a modern dining and living-room furniture collection with soft curves and sophisticated craftsmanship that emphasises ercol’s skill in working with solid timber. Romana is made from pale oak and finished in a clear matt lacquer to both protect the timber and show off its beauty.
Romana’s style is modern, including cabinets and sideboards with a low contemporary outline; but with subtle detailing and soft shapes the range remains understated. Detailing includes shaped legs, whose easy organic lines belie the complexity of manufacture. The shaped edge to the top panels echoes the softness of ercol’s vintage mid-century designs, but cut into the carcass it gives a streamlined feel to the silhouette.
A high level of craftsmanship is used in creating the organic shapes in the range. Complex construction is further evidenced in flush, sculpted curves across joints and in the close fit of the curved tops into the recessed tops of the cabinet carcasses
